Pastizzi Cafe Newtown Hijacked!

Staff of the Newtown's Pastizzi Cafe claim the much loved Maltese eatery has been hijacked by means of legal shenanigans and request your solidarity. UPDATE - it appears the original owners are back after a court battle - http://inner-west-courier.whereilive.com.au/news/story/lockout-cafe-gets-back-in-business/

We were thinking of grabbing some pastizzis for a picnic when we saw this sign plastered around Newtown.

We also noticed the usually thriving Pastizzi cafe was very quiet, the signage was removed and a 'staff wanted' flyer was in the window...

In support of the lovely out-of-work staff, who smile even when they're protesting, we skipped the pastizzis and got hamburgers instead. The Pastizzi Cafe has to be one of busiest joints on King Street and must be quite a cash cow, it will be interesting to see how this pans out.

PS - The comments on this post were getting nasty so we have removed them and allowed no further comments, everyone deserves a say but it was getting out of hand :-)
