Abla's Pastries ~ Lebanese Sweets - Granville
Amazing Lebanese sweets at Abla's Pastries, Granville.
After a most excellent feed at the legendary El Jannah Charcoal Chicken we feel the need for a sugar hit. There's a couple of wonderful looking Lebanese sweet joints on the block, we give Alba's Pastries a whirl.
The first thing that strikes me as I walk in the door is the huge counter of sweets, there's about thirty feet of tooth decay. Freshly made Lebanese sweets, choccies, nuts, gifts, the works.
The freshly made sweets can be bought in bulk or per piece.
I could order this whole tray of pistachio and semolina loveliness.
Super cute gift choccies. There are amazing small chocolates for every occasion.
We opt to eat in with coffee...
This sucker was amazing: a pistachio base topped with a light creamy goo marshmallow flavoured with rose water. Oh my god.
Fancy pants hampers, we noticed some hefty price tags on them, but they had 100 pieces in them.
Abla's Pastries is at 48 Railway Parade Granville. Phone (02) 9637 8092. http://www.ablaspastries.com.au/

Thanks for your comment joy - please keep your musings happy - if you want to complain about a restaurant please do it on a restaurant review site (or your own blog) - we're all about celebrating cultural diversity and the great eats that come along with it :-)
Our ethics: We pay for all our own meals and travel (though sometimes Mum shouts us).
