Kushboo Sweets and Restaurant ~ Bangladeshi - Lakemba

Lakemba closes off streets and slings on its finest threads for Bengali New Year in April. We tagged along by accident and ended up eating a traditional new year meal at Kushboo Sweets and Restaurant.

Bonolota ~ Bangladeshi & Indian - Rockdale

We train it out to Rockdale to visit Fuska House, only to find it is no  more, all that is left is a cranky note from the landlord taped to the door. So we sniff around for something similar, ie Bangladeshi and awesome. We find Bonolota in the magic block of shops on the west side of Rockdale Station, where Banoful once lived.

Fuska House ~ Bangladeshi - Rockdale

 A wobbly table and picture menu make us more than happy when searching for places to eat. Throw in some Deshi street food, some spiced chicken livers and a plate of Bangladeshi fuska and you have yourself a B-Kyu bingo winner at Fuska House in Rockdale.

Biryani House ~ Hyderabadi Indian \ Bangladeshi - Lakemba

Some time ago we stopped outside Biryani House in Lakemba to check out the menu and a super lovely lady pops her head out the door and welcomes us in. We'd already eaten that day but we promised the super nice lady that we'd come back one day to try her restaurant.

Fuska House ~ Bangladeshi - Lakemba

There seems to be more Bangladeshi joints than Lebanese pizza places in Lakemba these days. Amongst the burgeoning biryani restos is Fuska House, a mix of street food snacks, curries and tandoori.

We're long overdue for an adventure on the food train line, and head off to Lakemba for some Bangladeshi.
