Hong Kong Cuisine ~ Chinese - Geelong

I'm in Geelong for a conference and have eaten solidly for three days. There's something irresistible about hotel breakfast buffets and the endless cookies and cake at conference breaks. Asian Express ~ Chinese - Broadway/Central [CLOSED]

Asian Express on Broadway at Central is one of those eat'n'run joints that's easy to overlook. Don't be deterred by the six lanes of traffic right outside, just pretend you're in Shanghai, or be drunk.

[Closed early\mid 2014 - replaced by Mr Noodle - same owners with new menu and fitout]

Hakataya Noodle Shop ~ Japanese - Surfers Paradise

We revisit Hakataya Noodle Shop in deepest, darkest Surfers Paradise for possibly our favourite ramen bar in Australia. Maybe that's partly out of nostalgia, but it is top notch, made by Japanese folks for Japanese folks.

Day 6 on Our All You Can Eat in Osaka Trip - we hit a standup noodle bar, a sushi train, carnie snacks in Osaka Castle Park, Mos Burger and tonkotsu ramen. Our nipples explode with delight.
