In Sri Lanka we found no shortage of little restaurants (usually called hotels) where locals dined super cheap. Though for some reason in Sydney the Sri Lankan community favours takeaway joints over restaurants. We don't ask why, we just eat. The takeaway place we hear about most is Rams in Flemington.

We've been on a three-week Malaysian bender yet we're still hungry for more makan. So we head out to Homebush West to try Flemington Khai's Restaurant, a joint that's been on our eat list for quite some time. Then we waddle over to Strathfield checking out the food options as we go, ending with the goodness of Hello Happy Korean cafe.

Earlier in the day we were at a pokie club called Tradies Gymea, which sounds like a venereal disease caught on building sites, so we didn't eat there. Instead we end up at Homebush-West...
