Kenny's Pork Rolls ~ Vietnamese - Darlinghurst

Wedged between the bars and late night snack shops, Kenny's Pork Rolls in Darlo serves up classic pork rolls, salad bowls and Vietnamese street food.

Kenny's lays it out right up front at the counter, the classic pork roll is $5.90, the love is included in the price.

The classic is a mix of cha lua and roasted pork (you can just see the red roasted edges) and a good slap up of chopped green shallots, coriander and orange shred. $5.90 is a bargain lunch on Oxford St.

Sometimes a chicken roll is the answer. It also depends on what the question is. The chicken is roasted and filled into the roll while still warm. Melted into the pate it gives you a different bite to the crispier pork roll. It's a little pricier at $6.90 but still makes a bargain lunch.

There's a number of other options, including crispy pork (expect to pay a few extra bucks), meatball, chicken schnitzel and soft shell crab. You can also get the usual fillings on a plate with rice, instead of a bun, or in a salad bowl. Rice paper rolls, chicken bits, curry puffs and spring rolls are good extra tasty snacks.

Very cool artwork inside the shop, we love all the Oxford St iconography under the rainbow.

Fixins' on the counter to add as you please.

Kenny's Pork Rolls is at 159 Oxford St, Darlinghurst. Ph: 02 8040 8004.

You can buy yourself all the sort of things you apparently need to be an adult just next door, upstairs.
