Ramen Kan ~ Japanese Noodle Bar Bronte Road Bondi Junction [CLOSED]

Ramen Kan in Bondi Junction is my favourite Japanese ramen in Sydney so far… [CLOSED]

Our quest for the perfect ramen continues at Ramen Kan in Bondi Junction. It's a cheery little casual dining place, authentically squishy and always busy. This is our second visit.

The tonkatsu ramen is magnificent: a strong pork flavoured broth with an almost milky texture. This ramen is as good as many I have had Japan (and better than some I have had in Japan). This is my favourite ramen in Sydney so far. Next time I'm going for the Miso Tonkatsu Ramen.

Miss Chicken goes for the Tokyo ramen and gives it the thumbs up. She jokingly says Tokyo Ramen is a beginner's ramen: a straightforward soy based broth with no undentifiable suprises for the nervous diner.

Ramen Kan Japanese Noodle Bar is at Shop 3 Bronte Rd, near the corner of Bronte and Ebley, near the infamous Cock'n'Bull hotel.

Incidently we had Japanese for dinner at the new Iiza restaurant in Newtown last night: the menu is refreshingly different and our meals were near orgasmic. Iiza is just a little upmarket (smart casual) for our little 'street food' blog so we didn't take any pictures, but we highly recommend it.
