A Sydney food blog celebrating the world's great culinary underbelly. We are ham-fisted enthusiasts who dig traditional foods, hole-in-the-wall restaurants, and international supermarkets of mystery.

CHEAP BEER ALERT! $3.50 Longnecks of Pearl River Beer at New Yen Yen Supermarket, Chinatown
We love Chinese beer, somebody has to.
*update - Pearl River no longer available here, sniff sniff...*
A few weeks ago were very happy to discover Pearl River Chinese Beer in our local bottle shop. Today we discovered it for only $3.50 per longneck in Chinatown/Haymarket at the New Yen Yen Supermarket. Get in there now! This supermarket has recently opened, replacing the much loved Burlington Supermarket in the Burlington Centre.
Opening special - 10% off everything...
Pearl River Beer is only $3.50 per long neck, less 10%, bargain!
Lots of Tsintao, our favourite Chinese Beer. Also the creatively named Taiwan Beer, we'll try that next time.
Wide aisles and never too packed, an easy place to shop.
New Yen Yen Supermarket & Liquour Shop is in the Burlington Centre, Quay Street Chinatown. I think there is another in Eastwood.

Thanks for your comment joy - please keep your musings happy - if you want to complain about a restaurant please do it on a restaurant review site (or your own blog) - we're all about celebrating cultural diversity and the great eats that come along with it :-)
